Okay, FINE.
I do actually kind of love Top Chef, even though last night’s “oh, we’re not kicking anyone off today” thing was pretty much bullshit.
My favorite this week: Mia, because she both stuck up for her teammate and was like, “fuck this, I’ll say who cheated.”
My least favorite this week: Same as last week, Gail What’s-her-face from Food & Wine. Uuuuugh. At least this week I was so utterly distracted by her horrible, shiny, weirdly boob-mashing top, I didn’t even hear anything she said. Seriously, Bravo — next time spring for a shirt that didn’t come from Forever 21, okay? Criminy.

I did like Mia’s “I’ll say who cheated” bit. But what about afterwards when she acted like she didn’t like everyone telling on everyone else and refused to be a part of it. but she had been a part of it! Granted, she had been right to tell. It was kinda hypocrytical though.

Yeah, I wasn’t down with that. I mean, it’s easy to rat someone out to Teacher — not so easy when you have to back out to the playground and face everyone else.
I still think I can overlook it for now, in light of the fact she seems to be the only one who’s stuck up for… Mike(? is that his name?) at all so far. In fact, she’s the only person whom I’ve seen stick up for anyone thus far. Okay, so this is only the second episode I’ve seen so far, but still.

The amount of Dutch I know is pretty small, but does that say they have 20 minutes to feed 4 people with €12,50? Also, if I’m reading this right, they are amateur cooks? Like, ordinary people who just cook for friends and family?

okey, not the same show..
You are right.
ordinary people, 20 minuten with 12,50 for 4 people
and only two cooking in one show
We can’t steal exactly the same…
But still I just noticed this show and directly thought about Top Chef
I’m watching the end of the show right now, both seem to have failed, the experts say..

It sounds a lot more like “Iron Chef”, if you’re familiar with that show as well. Frankly, I like the idea behind “Top kok” more than “Top Chef” — I think I’d much rather see amateurs than some of the professionals on this show.
