Once again: relatives, please look away.

As I am about to detail what sort of Christmas cookies I’m making for my mom and sisters this year under this cut here:
Even though I’m not much of a baker, I picked up a copy of Everyday Food’s cookie edition sometime last month, because the cover assures me the contents are “all easy and delicious.”
I dunno about easy (feel free to ask me again next week) but delicious? Let me tell you, I started flipping through this magazine on the subway ride home after I bought it… and had to put it away because I kept silently going oooooh! every time I turned a page. Fortunately, this is New York and you really have to be extra-super-freaky-deaky before anyone will start to gape at you, but still.
Anyway, as I sit here and wait for FreshDirect to deliver my ingredients, here are the cookies I’m making this year:
Chewy Molasses-Spice Cookies. These are pretty much just for me (and maybe the kid, who will eat almost anything) seeing as I think I’m the only one who likes this sort of cookie.
Lemon Squares. My mom and I both really love lemony baked goods. Really love them. I’m pretty sure we would duke it out over the last lemon donut — filial piety can go screw.
Flourless Peanut-Chocolate Cookies. No recipe link for this one, but they’re pretty much a flourless peanut butter cookies with peanuts and chocolate chips.
Outrageous Chocolate Cookies. Okay, “outrageous” seems a little… extreme to describe cookies, but then again, have a look:

Damn, I’m totally making those ones first.

Those cookies look great. I have to give a shout out to the molasses cookies. I used a similar but different recipe (you can find it here.. http://madisonandmayberry.typepad.com/madison_mayberry/2006/11/the_best_cookie.html), and they were so much better than what I expected from a molasses cookie. I’m eating some now, in fact!
P.S. Those chocolate cookies look divine.

Oh, good! I ran out of flour before I could make the molasses cookies, so I just skipped them. I’ll be glad to hear how they came out. The chocolate ones were excellent.
