Yatta!
I did it! I cooked fish — my final food frontier! Here’s a somewhat crappy photo to prove it!
That is a piece of sesame-(semi)crusted tilapia. It was great; the fish was firm and flaky, and the sesame seeds took on a lovely toasty flavor.
The best part, though? The wasabi-ponzu sauce. Sweet sassy molassy! I’m almost embarrassed to admit it, but two hours after dinner, I poured the leftover sauce over some rice and ate it with a spoon while I watched my Netflix. That’s how good this sauce is.
For the full recipe — with much better photos of the fish than the one I took —visit Kate’s blog.

Hooray! I am so excited that you made this! The sauce is totally the best part. I kind of want to drink it very time I make it.

It totally was! The fish is good, but it was mostly just a blank canvas for the sauce.

Shannon is not a big fish person, and I love it, so the compromise is that I cook kind of mild fish with yummy sauces.

This looks great. And I too, often eat sauces on rice while Netflixing.
I posted some embarressing truths about myself and tagged you to do the same here:

if you are so inclined.

There must have been something going around this week because I cooked fish and posted about it, too

Mine was accompanied by a yummy yogurt sauce, but I was frustrated because the pistachio coating all stuck to the pan. This sesame coating looks much more appetizing.
