Genius.

I am generally pretty anti-frozen foods, because it uses all that energy to freeze it and ship it frozen and keep it frozen in the grocery store.
I’m usually anti-individual packaging, because it’s just so much waste to be thrown out.
Yet, I still think this is so brilliant:

And if it makes people say I think I have a snack… hey, maybe I’ll have some Brussels sprouts, how bad could it really be?

OH! That IS great! Have you tried those? How do they taste? I gotta go look for some…

I have; they’re actually quite good. It’s one serving of baby Brussels sprouts, so about a dozen little sprouts. And surprisingly not mushy/overcooked like you’d expect from a frozen vegetable.

Brilliant, indeed!!! I also rarely buy frozen foods (frozen chicken breasts I admit to buying regularly because it’s so darn handy) and NEVER buy things with excessive packaging, but since Erin and I are the only ones in my house that even like brussels sprouts, I am all for it! It’s going at the top of my grocery list. I never would have known about them otherwise since I don’t even bother looking in the freezer section. Thanks!

Y’know, when I found those, I hadn’t been down the frozen vegetable aisle in years. With my husband looking to lose weight, I was hoping I could find something snackish that wasn’t total crap… and that really fits the bill.

Well… I freeze food.
And I’m growing Brussels sprouts this year. Not for freezing, however.
Seriously, though - I am not actively anti-frozen food, though we don’t seem to buy very much of it. Kid 2 loves frozen peas.
