Great piece! As a fellow denizen of The Heights, I can definitely relate. I don’t get as many “what is the white girl doing here?” looks as I did when I first moved here (6 yrs ago) - or maybe I just don’t notice anymore. Anyway, I enjoyed reading your take on the ‘hood.
