Working on those resolutions…

Specifically, I’ve been working on the resolution about pitching something once a month.

My pitch for January came to fruition today in the form of this piece for Seed (of the awesome shampoo bar) about flexitarianism (and how I’m not really that interested in cooking meat): The Accidental Flexitarian.

So, head on over, give it a read, and let me know what you think…

  1. I think different people’s food habits are pretty interesting. I suppose we’re vegetarians usually about 2-3 days a week. I also know people who are horrified of say, going a week without meat. I suppose though, at the other end of this there are a lot of overly precious vegetarians in the world too.

[raises hand] Yeah. That was me 10 years ago. My smug sense of moral superiority was almost as delicious as a cheeseburger… but not quite.

  2. Excellent article. We’d been trying to do the same thing (back when we had a kitchen), starting out by keeping “vegetarian lunches” during the work week and treating ourselves to grilled food on Fridays. We only chose chicken or bison from a local farm, or trout if we could make it out to the farmers’ market on Sundays. We wanted to cut out beef as much as possible but also reduce our total meat intake.
